For couples who want green and quiet, Muir Woods or the smaller redwood groves closer to the city (like our favorite spot in Mill Valley) give you that hushed, cathedral-like feeling among ancient trees — no long hike required.

If ocean views are non-negotiable, Lands End or the Marin Headlands overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge deliver that classic sweeping-vista moment, especially in early morning or golden hour light.

And for something unexpected and colorful, I love bringing couples to hidden spots like the Local Color installation on Natoma Street — a free, vibrant mural-and-seating wall tucked near SFMOMA that photographs beautifully and feels nothing like the postcard shots everyone's already seen.
